Exercise Success Round 2

Flyer LBD

I came across this picture from my relatively recent past. Back then, this 21-day program took me down from a size 8 to size 4 when I did it the first time. Then it was being offered again, so I began to consider exercise success round 2! When I thought about it in those words exercise success round 2, it was a no-brainer. Why wouldn't I participate again?

Initially, I had a big goal of losing 30 lbs. I had not reached it yet, but thanks to the 21-Day Little Black Dress Challenge, I was able to focus on my health and make tremendous progress in a relatively short amount of time. Have you ever made progress on something? Did you get out of the habit that led to that progress? This is typically natural, and likely to happen over time if you are not doing something to prevent it.

I did not want to lose my progress! After my program, I kept the healthy habits that I had learned and established during the 21-day program. I was still making strides! I was now focusing more on how my clothes fit vs the number on the scale, because who cares about the scale? It's about how much better I feel, move, and energy I have for my long days. Sure, I was doing better now on my own (side note: I wasn't totally on my own, but I wasn't on a program or specific "diet;" more on that another time) but I knew by doing a "round 2" for myself there could only be MORE BENEFITS (such as honing my "focus" skills, dropping more excess fat) vs not participating.

Would I consider exercise success round 2? Yes! I signed up again and completed a second round of this program...and dropped another size in clothing and lost 6 more pounds in just 3 weeks!

Have YOU found yourself in unhealthy habits again?

Think back to when you made progress, strides...what were you doing? How long were you able to "focus" before you started "slipping" back into unhealthy habits? So why not do an exercise success round 2?! Were you successful for 4 months, 4-weeks, 2 weeks, or 3 days at a time

Don't worry about "how long" you were successful for. Do what works for you and your life/schedule. Repeat your success. Do several rounds of it, and take a "break" in between if you need to. Over time, reduce the "break" period and extend the length of your round. Write down your daily successes along the way and watch how you become the healthiest person you know! Now go start exercise success round 2!
