Easy Way to Make Pizza Using Left-Overs

lose weight with pizza

Don't know what to do with your left-over food that isn't enough to eat as a left-over meal? I have your solution!  Make a pizza 🙂 . It's an easy way to make pizza using left-overs, and you cannot mess up this recipe. It's fool-proof!

I love this for 3 reasons:

1. You will not be throwing away good food!

2. It's a GREAT way to sneak in healthy ingredients for unsuspecting kids! Plus, your kids will have fun helping you make it! You want to involve as may family members in making your meals so that they can learn healthy habits and have fun at the same time...

3. It's fast and EASY...

The ingredients will depend on your left-overs. You can use ANYTHING in this pizza and it will turn out great!

How To Make This EASY Pizza:

1. Start out with your pizza crust. You can make it yourself but I always buy pizza crust already made because I'm a busy working mom and need to save time. My favorite crust is Flatzza by Angelic Bakehouse. Even though the crust is soft to me, it's too crispy for my little toddler, so please be vigilant if you have babies and toddlers. They might need a soft, puffy crust.

2. Add a thin layer of your sauce. I make it easy by opening up a bottle of spaghetti pasta sauce for my first layer.

3. Special bonus *secret* ingredient: add Herdez green salsa! Just a thin layer of it gives it a good flavor. But again, if you have little kids, the green salsa might make it too spicy, so know your audience.

4. Add any kind of meat you have left-over in your refrigerator: hamburger, cold cut sandwich meat, chicken, ground turkey, pepperoni, etc. If you like vegetables, add those here too. I've used fresh spinach, broccoli, squash, bell pepper, mushrooms, onions, chia seeds (no one will be able to taste the chia seeds -- so go ahead and add them-- low fat mozzarella, meat from pot roast made earlier in week, butternut squash spirals...

5. Now add as much cheese as you would like! It's okay to use different cheeses, too, don't leave them behind in the refrigerator, throw them on the pizza! You can use the kids' half-eaten string cheese, too!

Bonus Ingredient: If you like it spicy, drizzle buffalo wing sauce on top! Again, that might be too spicy for little kids, but it'll be awesome for you!

Follow the baking instructions on the back of the pizza crust for how long to bake and how many degrees to set the oven. If you use the Flatzza crust, you just bake it until the cheese melts, which takes about 10 minutes! Super fast! But bake it to your preference.
